  • To encourage early learners to express themselves, ask for assistance, exchange ideas and experiment with materials.
  • To promote the use of social language so that children can interact co-operatively with others and solve problems.
  • To demonstrate good listening skills and encourage children to speak clearly and comprehensively.
  • To develop sound/word discrimination, correct pronunciation of words and promote responses to literature through a variety of activities (art, music, choral reading, talking).
  • To provide extra-curricular activities and theme days to keep learning fresh and fun. We organise special days, costume parties, trips and a whole range of other activities to enhance your child’s experience.
  • To employ well trained and experienced staff who can meet all of your child’s emerging needs.
  • To create a trusting partnership between the child, teacher and parents. We keep you informed of his/her development and progress through newsletters, reports and parents’ meetings. You will never miss out on any progress your child has made!

Campus Life

A Joyful Space to Learn and Grow

At Meritorious Early Learning Center (MELC), campus life is a joyful blend of fun, learning, and holistic development. We believe children learn best when they are happy, active, and fully engaged—and that’s exactly the kind of environment we create for them every day. From Nursery to Grade 3, we offer a nurturing space where children grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Our foundation classes follow the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) curriculum—a structured yet flexible framework that supports development across seven key areas, including personal, social and emotional growth, literacy, communication and language, and problem-solving skills.

Celebrations, Creativity, and Confidence

We bring learning to life through play-based activities, hands-on exploration, and personal attention. Whether it’s splash pool fun, taekwondo, basketball, or class projects, our students enjoy a balanced mix of movement, learning, and joy. Special days like Profession Day, Global Handwashing Day, and national celebrations are marked with dress-ups, role plays, and performances. Weekly events such as Storytelling Sessions, Fruitful Wednesdays, theme days, and class parties make every moment at MELC exciting. Our dedicated teachers work closely with each child to nurture creativity, confidence, and curiosity ensuring every student feels seen, supported, and inspired.

Our Philosophy

We believe that children learn best in this way and it will provide early learners with the confidence they need to develop their own unique personality. We have the best teachers, child care assistants, nurses and management to provide your children with exceptional care and education. Our early year’s education is delivered by professionals in their field – there is nothing more important to us than providing a stimulating and caring environment where your child can thrive. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS) which is a British standardized framework for nurseries and childcare providers. Each and every one of the children in our care is a blessing. Every child is unique and precious; with this in mind we provide a stimulating environment where early learners can develop their own interests and learn at a pace suited to their individual needs We nurture warm relationships among children, teachers and parents. And teachers build a close personal connection with each child in their care. This further strengths our Philosophy that each child excel‘s when there is consistency in care between home and school.
